Marika Kielland Bourgine founded KEY ART in London in 2023. She has a decade of experience as an advisor to private collectors and a background of almost two decades in the non-profit and commercial sides of the art world. As the Principal of KEY ART she travels widely to stay on top of trends within the art market and spends time with clients attending exhibitions and art fairs around the world.
Prior to founding KEY ART, Marika opened the London office of SFA Advisory in 2016. Since graduating from the University of Virginia with a BA in Art History, Marika worked for five years with non-profit contemporary art institutions; first as Development Director at Independent Curators International (ICI) in New York and then as Deputy Director at LA><ART in Los Angeles.
Finally, as Director of Special Projects and Advisor at SFA, Marika worked on creative fundraising and cultural projects with the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, while expanding SFA's advisory services in Europe.
María Ortiz
María Ortiz joined KEY ART in 2025, bringing a strong commitment to scholarship, precision, and market insight to her role. With over five years of experience in the commercial side of the art world, she joins the firm following roles at LVH Art and LAMB Gallery. Across these positions, she advised prominent collectors on acquisitions and sales, and contributed to major curatorial projects, exhibitions and international art fairs. María earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from IE University and a master's degree in Contemporary Art from Sotheby's Institute of Art. At KEY ART, she aligns her passion and deep knowledge of the market with the firm’s commitment to excellence and integrity.
